For today’s post, I decided to share some passages on Love. The version is The Living Bible. God bless you as you read. Amen.
“Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.” (I Corinthians 13: 4-7)
“We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly. God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him.” (I John 4:16)
Loving as commanded is not beyond us. Yes, it takes extra effort. Yes, it could cost us. But what joy awaits us if we would only choose to love. Dear reader, as you continue this week, show someone love, bearing in mind that it is not beyond you.
P.S: This post should be online on Thursday, but it is coming a little earlier. You could go back and check the previous Thursday’s Love post. Thank you.
